Flint Lockwood has always wanted to make the world a better place. But all of his inventions are not useful. Until he creates a machine that can turn water into food. And when he tests it in front of his hometown, Swallow Falls, he accidentally launches it into the sky. And makes food rain from the sky. But when Flint thinks he's helped his town, disasters start occurring when people ask for more food.
Very strange movie because of its whole plot and it is unusual for animated movies . There are some moments which are very good and entertaining with very good visual effects . There are also parts when you can learn something . It is very nice but sometimes it is very weird and I don't is this kind of animated movies are unusual . Plot is a bit strangers and whole fable is sometimes very boring or better to say strange . I can find point of this movie and it is really nice . You can't find yourself such easily in this movie . It is not so good but I like it because of its funny and very inventive details and whole plot . It is very good movie for someone who is real lover of animated movies . I still can't find something very entertaining in this movie to make it better because I didn't watch this movie in 3D but I was trying to think like I watched and there are many visual excitements so I hope that many of people who watched it had fun with this visual excitements . I am recommending it but I can't that it is one of the best .
&quot;Ever since he was a kid, Flint Lockwood was an inventor but not a very good one, seeing as how none of his inventions have turned out as planned. So, his father has him work in his bait shop full time. Not going to give up easily, Flint has one more invention up his sleeve, one that should create food out of water for the sardine overdosed population of the island where he lives. And like all the others, this one ends in failure, too, even destroying Sardineland, whose opening Sam Sparks, an intern from the Weather News Network, was covering. But then, there are signs of success… <br/><br/>With animation that is less than satisfying and unimaginative, the best that could be said about &quot;&quot;Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs&quot;&quot; is that it does manage to be silly on occasion with one great joke. And with the exception of Bruce Campbell&#39;s fantastic vocal work, that&#39;s pretty much it.(Does he do a lot of this or did somebody else miss their calling?) While I do salute the movie for favoring intelligence, especially with women, it does not help that the so called hero is something of a jerk. And the central message surrounding overconsumption and the &#39;obesity epidemic&#39; is severely heavy handed when considering that Flint&#39;s invention would have great potential for those parts of the globe where people are going hungry.&quot;

The town is fed up with eating sardines all the time so Flint Lockwood invents a machine that turns water into food and rains it down on the world three times a day. Unfortunately, Flint&#39;s machine has a mind of its own, and Flint must stop it before it destroys the world. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a 1978 children&#39;s book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett. The book was adapted for the animated movie by Philip Lord and Christopher Miller who also co-directed the film. It is followed by <a href="/title/tt1985966/">Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013)</a> (2013). Yes, in fact as early as 1965 American scientists held an experiment in which, for 4 months, they fed 24 men nothing but synthetic chemicals created in a lab (amino acids, vitamins, glucose, salts, and the fat ethyl linoeate), in the form of a tasteless goo. But food made in a lab is much more expensive than food produced in the normal way. However, Flint&#39;s methods as presented in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs are not meant to be taken seriously: more than water would be needed to create synthetic food, and making it into something that looked like real food would be extremely difficult. However the plot was heavily changed: (1) Changed from fantasy to slight science fiction; (2) They never actually try to stop the food weather; (3) The weather was isolated to the island without any part of the world knowing about it, whereas in the movie, it becomes a tourist attraction and the food even spreads around the world; (4) Flint Lockwood, the girl meteorologist, the corrupt mayor, and most of the other characters in the movie don&#39;t exist in the book; (5) The island had no association with sardines, it always rained food at the island; (6) There was no mount leftovers; (7) They never ever come back to the island; (8) The kids don&#39;t get excited with the no school; and (9) The book plot had nothing to do with many themes in the movie i.e. fame, family, individuality.
